FIVE (Florida Indoor Visual Ensemble) is a new Winterguard program out of Clearwater, Florida coming out for the 2019 winter season. FIVE will compete in the FFCC and WGI curcuits.
Originally from Arizona, and a transplant to a Floridian life style. Erik Lives in the Clearwater area with his wife Amy, and two beautiful daughters Regagn and Jordynn. He has a BFA in Interior Design and is an Architectural Project Designer for Fisher Architects.
He was a member of the East Lake High School Band and guard. Where he found his passion for the Pageantry Arts. Erik spent his early years as a member of EPC '02, Paradigm Open/World '03-'05, the Knights '06-'09, Teal Sound and Boston Crusaders Drum Corps.
Currently in his 20th year as a performer turned staff member , He has combined his career with Design and the Color Guard activity and has designed for many schools throughout the state of Florida and is currently the Director for East Lake High School, Lakeland High School, and the co-director with his Wife Amy at Clearwater High School. He is also a member of the Florida Federation of Judges Association.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Latonya began her love affair with Winterguard back in the day (1997) as a colorguard student drooling over Shaktai Performance Ensemble. She later went on to march with Shaktai under the direction of Ron Comfort, Shelba Waldron and Cheryl Wimberly, and a later stint with (ACE)Ancient City Ensemble under Jeff Dodd. While her performance career was cut short by a serious injury she has made up for that as a director, choreographer and design. She began teaching in 1997 and since then Latonya has held positions as Color Guard technician, choreographer, designer, and/or director at Lincoln High School, Nease High School, St. Augustine High School, Bartow High School, Plant High School, Franklin Central and working as a designer and choreographer with Gainesville Independent, Fahrenheit Independent, River City Independent and Northeast Independent winterguard.
Latonya lives in the Clearwater and has a BFA in Painting from Florida State University as well as an MFA from Tufts University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Mixed media. As well as colorguard, Latonya is an artist and owner of PVA Design Network a performing and visual art design company. Latonya is an art and dance teacher at Largo High School in the IB program. She is an active visual artist and educator who demands as much quality as she gives. She has had success at every level of FFCC and WGI competition as a staff member winning Circuit Championships in every Scholastic National Class and making Scholastic and Independent World Finals in A, Open and World Classes.
Daniel is originally from Olean, N.Y. and has been in Florida most of his life. He attended Seminole High School and was in their Wind Ensemble and Marching Band for four years. He then attended St. Petersburg College to start his Music Education Degree, after that pursuing Music Education at The Florida State University, and Interior Design with International Academy of Design and Technology. Since graduating high school in 1993, Daniel has been designing winter guard shows, uniforms, floors and flags, marching band shows and set designs for musicals. He currently works full time as Plant Engineer Designer for Ashley Furniture and has an Interior Design Business for commercial and residential design. Although he has many passions for different types of design, he still finds time to perform with Hollingsworth Winds, Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds, Tampa Bay Symphony and the Heralds of Harmony from time to time, keeping up with musical talents and repertoire. Before age outs were eliminated from World Class guards, Daniel performed with Florida State Winterguard and Shaktai Performance Company.
Daniel is a member of the Florida Federation of Judges Association and has instructed and designed for many guard and band programs througout the central Florida area since 1993.
